Yes, with a properly sized header or beam and adequate bearing carried down to the foundation. That last part is what unqualified crews skip.

Do you work with engineered lumber?

Where it earns its place - LVLs and engineered joists for long spans and consistent performance. We do not use it just to pad the invoice.
